A focus on people.
The social side of sustainability helps to create a company – and community – that endures.
Profit-sharing to our Team Members through our Team for Tomorrow Program
Provide a stable and productive work environment for our Team Members (our turnover rate is more than 200% less that the industry average)
Robust training and career development opportunities
Our company and communities participate in charitable causes such as Habitat for Humanity, Project Angel Tree, Family Homestead, Denver Rescue Mission and The Arrupe Jesuit High School Intern Program
We provide well-maintained apartments and a great living environment and sense of community to our residents
We are a good neighbor in the communities in which we operate
A focus on planet.
This is the most visible part of our sustainable activities and we have many initiatives underway.
Developing the first Built Green®apartments in Cherry Creek designed to increase energy efficiency by 15%
Offer complete recycling programs at all of our apartment communities
Use “green” cleaning products and CFL bulbs throughout our portfolio
Use a mineral filtration system to clean our swimming pools and hot tubs instead of chlorine
Conducted energy audits and implemented tactics that improve water conservation and decrease energy consumption
Provide a 75% reimbursement to our Team Members for their public transportation expenses
Online reservations, online service requests and online rent payment reduce paper consumption
Sub-metering our utilities allows our residents to control and reduce their utility bills
Our communities have high walkability scores and are close to public transportation options
A focus on profit.
To be truly sustainable, a company has to be profitable (or it ceases to exist).
Our conservative investment strategy and prudent risk management helps to ensure RedPeak’s continued success
We support more than 115 Team Members and their families
Our investment dollars come from a state pension fund and therefore all of RedPeak’s profits benefit public employees, including teachers, police officers and other public servants
Energy audits allow us to identify and prioritize energy conservation and cost-saving opportunities
A focus on in-fill development and a robust redevelopment program reduces land use and increases the value of our existing communities
